Woodland fairy

My sweet Ellen , this is your birthday gift from me to you (I am a bit early but soon I am off to Italia and thus you get it now).

You know that I am no fan of pointed ears but for your birthday I can put aside my own wishes for 1 day lol. So here she is, your fairy, a freckled readhead with a ponytail and the latest fashion in elvish jewelry.

Most of you saw the wips, but I have had anxiety attacks over the background, I have painted some 30 layers of all kind of leaves coming in front of her until I decided to go for a woodland view. Be gentle with me, this is my maiden voyage into the woods. I blurred a lot, made branches and spots and blurred again, used the leave and grass brushes from photoshop and this is the result, the professionals may shudder but I for the moment can do no better and I think this setting becomes her quite well.

All in all this took me over 20 hours because many things were new to me but I can say that I have learned a lot.

I think this is the painting I love the most. I hthink my background suits her fine and does not look added on afterwards. The reference is the very hot Melita Toniolo
