Aaaah, that's a poll for IT peeps, isn't it?

Well, as for passwords, if you can chose them, they don't need to be complicated, they just need to be long. If they're complicated, they're always too complicated and we naturally tend to use the same ones for many accounts with the main risk of all those accounts to be vulnerable once the password is hacked.

I use a few passwords with web sites and my browser stores them, so it's my memory :D . The trick is to have a good backup of where Firefox stores those passwords... However I remember all of my secret codes for my cards and I have very few of them.

Now a security expert once said we're best at securing pieces of papers hence the best way to secure our passwords is on a piece of paper in our wallet. So if that comes from an IT security expert...

As I have around 50 different passwords I keep them in a book, along with my user name and the name and URL of the website. Many of them are variations of the same user name but some sites require very complicated ones for security reasons, and these are really complicated. After a computer crash, I learned the value of paper records :D

I have a super good memory so it doesn't bother me, plus there is 1 word I use in almost every password with strategic variations

seeing as so many have picked out that they have only a few passwords covering so many important facets of their net-life, and as a security-oriented IT student i would suggest increasing the variety of passwords to ensure maximum protection...it might not be easy to hack passwords, but once its done, having less amount of passwords for different accounts only increases the chance of maximum damage..take passwords seriously...:)
