There, I did it! The first painting of 2010. Some 15 hours or so of work. I adore this lovely couple because they are obviously happy in their love but at the end of the day I hated them lol
The pose comes from a Yul Brynner picture, where he plays Ramses in the Ten Commandments, google it, you will see how I deviated from the reference. For the faces I was inspired with more modern faces, Zachary Levi, don't ask me why, not your typical Egyptian male but I like him. The girl is Madalina Ghenea, my sulfurous model of my pumpkin soup.
Help for flaws is appreciated as usual but not everything will/can be corrected. I see many flaws so probably I wont be chocked if you point them out but I also conquered new ground here so leave me some happiness : hair on his forearms jeez! a couple, all that gold, the leather scabbard with embossed hieroglyfs turned out rather well, his hand is very realistic (don't know how I did it lol) and her dress in "vert de nile" green of the Nile.
Everything was painted pixel by pixel by me and believe me, it drove me crazy, these egyptian paintings have so many details. It also turned out extremely colourful but that is what I get with egypt, flamboyant colours.
