Rani the orchid collector

OMG, it is done!
Should any of you, one fine day, decide to paint a brocade beaded skirt with a translucent beaded apron over it, think twice about it good people because although you are in for a lot of fun, you are also in for a crazy amount of time
25 hours on her skirt alone and 18 on all the rest, totally a good 43 hours, yes, the crayon never sleeps.
The old me from one year back would have stopped at the waist from pure frustration, the new me adores the challenge.
I will certainly paint this kind of work again but not immediately lol, now I want to paint a naked one, no fabric at all lol

I dedicate Rani to May Fong , whom else, because crazily masterly paintings with lots of jewels and details are her tool of trade, it is my homage to May for being a constant inspiration and a guide by her stunning examples to get better in my art. Moreover it is another collector, that is fun.

I used a losange tool in the fabric, very lightly, brushes by the fabulous obsidian dawn
