Publius Clodius, the handsome, brother of the infamous Clodia. Aristocrat and populist, beloved by the plebs, hated by his own class, charismatic rabble rouser who met a violent death in the streets near Rome in 52 B.C. He and his friends proudly wore beards which was uncalled for at the time. Enigmatic character, violent, attractive and complex.

The reference and technical information : some bollywood male that I used as a base and then I let my inspiration take over. This was a challenge for me to try to be as realistic as possible on a male face. I used no brushes, no noice, whatsoever and all freckles and blemishes and pores are done with either the dodge tool for the clear areas and the burn tool for the dark areas. Every skin detail is handmade and unique. The beard and mustache however are made up of copy/paste parts of the first part I painted. More than 20 hours. Please full view for all the details

I dedicate this to Nathie :iconnathie: because he is a tremendous artist and a cool guy and a constant inspiration to better my painting skills

Here is my interpretation of his sister Clodia

Really great! I love your gallery  , one of my favorites is this, for its tremendous realism and its details. the more I look at it the more I like. The beard, the lines of his face .. his eyes?... precious
If Publio Clodio was living, he would like that you were doing a portrait to him. ;)

Because it is not popular doesn't mean it isn't good. I'm impressed by this piece, certainly.
Ah, we all wish to do things, but give it some time and I'm sure you'll get there. You're welcome. ^^

Awesome face! So well detailed, I spent a few minutes wondering if it's a photograph! Seriously, is it? xD What program did you use to make it? It's so amazing just as the rest of your artwork!

Your scraps still look awesome to me. xD Good luck with your further development, but, honestly, I don't see how your artwork can get any better! : )
